I'm a hidden object addict and never could see the sense behind time management or strategy games because I want to relax when I play games, not test my stress capacity. I've played the game at least seven times and am contemplating when I should start up again. (Beware, game is addicting.)
Totem Tribe is a mixture of hidden object and strategy with a whole lot of fun and challenges thrown it. You'll find puzzles, hidden treasures, jewels, and a world of tribes, trials and tribulations.
For $10 you'll have purchased a game that will give you at least 10 hours of entertainment.
Oh, and the developer, Enkord, provides the best hands-on customer support I've seen. If you need a hint or two, they are the guys to go to. |

This is a fun little mini- real time strategy for people that aren't into mainstream real time strategy games like Command and Conquer, etc. The story centers around a small primitive tribe and its female leader. Something isn't right in land and its up to you to find out what's the problem and put an end to it before its too late.
Game play is pretty simple and straight forward. You build structures which in turn produce workers, soldiers, witch doctors, shaman, etc. The real plus is that money isn't an issue in the game, land is. You can build about as much as you want as long as there's room.
The downside is that there are points in the game when you have to do some serious hunt and click for hidden objects. That can get a little annoying at times.
The real plus and my biggest problem was the story. The plus is that there are several endings to the game. I recently beat the game and it turned out that I only explored 55% of the game. That surprised me and has me thinking about a replay. The downside is that the story isn't as strong as it could've been. The ending I got was negative and I was disappointed that it didn't go a little bit more in detail about the consequences of my choices in the game.
Either way, its a decent game. I'd get it for when you're bored at work or home. Not as repetitive as Fate but not as good either though. |
